Install Ubuntu

• Install VirtualBox 5.0.22 for OS X hosts.

  virtualxox.org

• Download Ubuntu for Desktop 64-bit ISO image.

  ubuntu-15.10-desktop-amd64.iso

  ubuntu-tw

• New virtual machine

  Type: Linux

  Version: Ubuntu (64-bit)

  Memory size is 3072MB

  Create a virtual hard disk now

  Hard disk file type is VDI

  Storage on physical hard disk is Dynamically allocated

  Select your File location and size

• Setting virtual machine

  1. Select your virtual machine and then press Settings button.

  2. Switch to the Storage tag.

  3. Select the Empty node of Controller: IDE root in Storage Tree.

  4. Select IDE Secondary Master for Optional Drive in its Attributes.

  5. Press disk button.

  6. Press Choose Virtual Optical Disk File button.

  7. Select your ISO image such as ubuntu-15.10-desktop-amd64.iso.

• Install Ubuntu

  Select your virtual machine and then press Start button.
